Som svar på <a href="https://runfar.se/blogg/from-nine-to-five-to-90k-michaels-running-journey/#comment-76">Staffan Dahlgren</a>.

Thank you so much, Staffan! Those are really fun perspectives to think about and I’d love to develop our thoughts more with regards to them. A few quick reflections: we both really want Theo to grow up familiar with the racing scene. We love the idea of him being a young little boy totally in the know of what to expect on race day and at aid stations, and we can’t wait to share those experiences with him! Also, running now - as parents - acts as our primary time to talk to each other. With Theo asleep in the stroller on most runs, we get “quiet” time to check in with each other and communicate uninterrupted, which we really value in our marriage. And last quick thing: we’ve definitely realized you can train well and continue to improve with slightly lower weekly volume (something we look to you as such an inspiration in!).

Happy new year to you and yours!

A very nice read, as always. I'd be curious to know a bit more about whether your perspectives on your running and the associated goals have changed now when becoming parents to Theo? You touched upon in the end of the post that goals doesn't have to be races but a topic for a future post might be how/if parenthood has changed any of your perspectives on training/running and what your plans are for 2022 going to races as not just a running couple but a family?

Wishing you both a Happy New Year and look forward to more nice-to-read-posts going forward.
